7stanes Mountain Biking

The 7stanes is a series of award winning mountain bike centres in the south of Scotland offering unique qualities and providing individual mountain biking experiences. The 7 sites are located at Glentrool and Kirroughtree in Galloway Forest Park , Ae, Mabie and Dalbeattie in the Dumfries area and Newcastleton and Glentress/Innerleithen in the Scottish Borders.

The 7stanes has something for all. With 400km of trails the stanes can cater for families who wish to cycle off road, to mountain bikers who wish to have the opportunity to test their skills, through to the more extreme trails that provide an adrenaline rush for those who dare!

We are a not for profit organisation, meaning that any monies raised goes straight back into marketing and promotion of the 7stanes. All activities are for the benefit of mountain bikers and include the maintenance of the website, provision of trail maps, circulating updates on trails, competitions, newsletters, merchandise, visitor payback schemes and working with businesses at a national and local level.
