7stanes - Dalbeattie

Has a relaxed feel thanks to its coastal setting and lack of big hills but this trail centre is anything but dull. Families will enjoy the green and blue graded routes while there are challenges for even the most experienced riders on the rocky red and black graded routes and the 1.5km skills trails.

Dalbeattie’s Ironhash green trail takes you on a gentle ride mainly on forest roads and is a great mountain bike taster. For an introduction to 7stanes single track there’s the blue-graded Moyle Hill with its unique granite features, fun rides and great views. The classic red-graded Hardrock Trail is a great year round route thanks to the hard granite surface which gives great grip even in the wet. Miles of single track with some cracking black-graded features including a 7stanes highlight. The Slab is a daunting 15-metre section of sheer granite lying at a steep angle which from the top looks terrifying but is most often described as AWESOME.
